PRE-V DAY!


 


It does not get any cuter than this!!!....although that screenshot of Taylor is really distracting.........


Anyways, I was really pissed today because Taylor Swift's shop is closed til Wednesday. And that means I cannot collect my Vday dress. And that means I have no pretty dress for tomorrow. That sucks. Luckily I don't have a date with a guy or anything.


Phew~


I'm going to have the most depressing Valentine's Day ever!

But you all know that no matter how many boyfriends you have, your dates for tomorrow would never be as awesome as mine :) 




Oh I read up on the history of Valentine's Day and I got quite a lot of different versions. 


1. Commemorate the death of St Valentine, who continued to perform marriages for young couples although Emperor Claudius II outlawed marriage for young men.


2. People whose names are Valentine/Valentina celebrate their names by having a feast.


3. Commemorate the death of St Valentine, who attempted to help Christian prisoners escaped from Roman prisons, where they were beaten and tortured.


It is said that he sent the first "valentine" greeting after falling in love with a girl who visited him during his confinement. He wrote a letter to her and signed off with "From your Valentine". 


4. Celebrate Lupercalia, a fertility festival.


5. It was commonly believed in France and England, during the middle ages, that February 14th was the beginning of the birds' mating season. This gave the idea that it should be a day for romance.

On a random note, to muslims out there, unless you're the ideal malay who has not done much sins, don't go around saying that "Valentine's Day is haram". Apparently drinking/clubbing/smoking/pre-marital sex/PDA-ing/dating are all encouraged by our religion huh? FUUU very much.
